Tivoli Swim School and Club
Both our Swim School and Club were proudly established in October 2000 – originally as Kambala Swim School and Club – and since then have produced swimmers of all levels – from those competing on a regular basis for fun and fitness, through to high performance national level competitors in the pool, open water, surf and triathlon.
We are a family orientated, friendly swimming Swim School and Club that welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Swim School operates 6 days a week ( see timetable), during term time, plus holiday programs and the Club holds 3 Friday evening club nights, per term, at The Playfair Pool (year round). Come and join us!

PARENTS/CARERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL (OR TOLD BY PIP) IF YOUR SWIMMER IS MOVING SQUADS.
Learn To Swim (LTS) has 12 different levels. Swimmers move through these levels often during term. LTS swimmers are notified when they are ready to move to the mini-squad (Snappers). Only students in the top level of Learn to Swim are notified if they are moving to the Snappers squad.
All other Learn to Swim (LTS) students move up groups as they progress. This can often happen during term. LTS students are assessed constantly and often change levels during the term, depending on their needs. Please note moving swimmers can happen during term – When a swimmer is ready to move, we move them. Please respect the coaches’ decision as it is made in the best interest of the swimmer and their longevity in the sport.
PARENTS/CARERS IN POOL AREA:
With the cooler weather we ask parents and carers to limit the foot traffic inside the pool area. Having a crowded pool area is distracting for students and coaches. The pool’s side doors will start to reopen on warmer days, so parents can view from the courtyard. Please sit/wait in the courtyard whist your swimmer is in a lesson unless the weather dictates otherwise, the inside pool area is for swimmers only. During the cooler weather please note the seating area for parents is near the pool office. The grandstand and side of the pool is for students and coaches.
Parents’ pick up and drop off area is near the pool door entry.
For duty of care -we ask parents refrain from entering the bathrooms/ change room area.
NEW ENROLMENTS:
Swim assessment is required before new enrolment can be completed and a position can be offered. Swim assessment take approximately 5 minutes per swimmer. New enrolments are offered a spot once re-enrolments have closed.
Students who require floatation don’t need an assessment. However, we do ask you to notify use of any previous lessons your child may have had.
Please note we use floaties on students we deem not water safe. The level of floatation depends on the students level of water familiarization / ability to follow instructions / personalities. Safety of our students is our priority.
We have three students per class in LTS and the aim is to have all swimmers swimming and not spending the majority of a lesson waiting on a platform.
House keeping: pick up and drop offs, access areas and training equipment.
1.Massie House students who have a 3:30pm swimming lesson will be picked up from their classroom and taken to swimming. Junior school students need to walk to the pool directly after school.
2.Massie house and Junior school swimmers who have a 3:30pm swimming lesson can be picked up from carline at 4:15pm. Please do not turn up early and park in carline as it interrupts the flow of traffic.
3.Kambala students in later classes (4:00pm onwards) – pick up and drop off is the entrance pool gates accessed via the courtyard.
4.Massie house students who need to coordinate swimming with other extracurricular activities (or need to come or go to OSH) need to contact extracurricular -juan_renshaw@kambala.nsw.edu.au
5.Community swimmers, pick up and drop off is the entrance to the pool gates, accessed via the courtyard.
6 .Please note the indoor pool area can only be accessed by coaches and students. Parents can view and wait for their swimmers in the courtyard. However, there is very little wet weather shelter. The courtyard area is not a play area and ball games are prohibited.
7. All Swimmers require a cap, googles and appropriate training swimmers. All swimmers need to be dressed appropriately whilst entering and leaving the pool area.
